CONTACT / RFQ

Start with the specification.

For a faster technical review, include the grade and governing specification, product form and dimensions, quantity, required delivery condition, inspection and testing requirements, and the date you need it.

SEND IT STRAIGHT THROUGH

Attach the drawing and the datasheet.

A drawing with a revision number and the customer datasheet tell us more in thirty seconds than any form field will. If all you have is a grade and a size, send that — we will come back with the questions.

OR SEND A SHORT ENQUIRY

A short enquiry is enough to start.

If it is easier than composing an email, use this. We will come back with the questions your enquiry has not yet answered — that conversation is where the real requirement usually gets defined.

Have a drawing or a datasheet? Email it to info@arvonalloys.com — attachments go further than any form field.

Confidentiality of technical information.

We treat customer drawings, specifications and technical information as confidential, and we do not use them to quote anyone else’s work.

What you send for quotation may be shared with a qualified manufacturing partner, solely to assess feasibility, prepare the quotation and fulfil an agreed order. That is how a build-to-print enquiry gets priced, and we would rather say so here than have you find out later.

We will sign a mutual NDA before you send anything sensitive — just ask, and nothing technical moves until it is in place. Tell us as well if a drawing must not leave Canada, or must not go to a particular shop: that is a constraint we can quote to, not an obstacle. Files for enquiries that do not become orders are returned or deleted on request.

RFQ checklist

Send what you have — a grade and a dimension is a fine place to start, and most enquiries begin there. The list below is what a quotation eventually has to answer, not a barrier to getting one. The more of it your enquiry already settles, the closer our first number will be to our final number; the rest we will work through with you.

  • Grade, UNS and EN designation
  • Product form — forging, bar, plate, tube, fittings
  • Governing specification and edition
  • Drawing or sketch where the order is cut or forged to a shape
  • Finished or blank dimensions
  • Quantity and lot split
  • Heat-treatment condition — for 718, solution annealed or solution + double aged
  • Melting route — AOD, VIM, VAR, ESR, or VIM+VAR double melt
  • Minimum forging reduction ratio and grain flow
  • Hardness scale and limit, named in the scale to be tested
  • Impact test temperature and energy — Charpy V-notch at −46 °C is common in northern service
  • Grain size, ferrite content, metallography — with sampling location and method
  • PREN formula and minimum — 16N or 30N changes the number
  • Corrosion testing — ASTM G48, A923, ISO 17781 as applicable
  • NDT method and acceptance class
  • PMI — 100% or sampled, and who performs it on receipt
  • EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2
  • Sour service standard — MR0175 / ISO 15156 upstream, MR0103 / ISO 17945 refinery
  • Service envelope — temperature, pressure, chlorides, pH, H₂S partial pressure
  • Country of melt and any origin restrictions
  • Approved mill list, QTR or MDS, if your end client maintains one
  • Matching welding consumable, where the order includes one
  • Surface finish, Ra, marking and cleanliness requirements
  • CRN, API or end-equipment certification the package must support
You do not need all twenty-four to start.

Send what you have. We will come back with the ones your enquiry does not yet answer — and that conversation is usually where the real requirement gets defined.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Three steps, no mystery.

01

Technical review

We read the specification stack and come back with the questions your enquiry has not yet answered — within one business day. If an answer has to wait on a mill, you will hear that within one business day too.

02

Quotation

Price, delivery condition, lead time and the exact document scope, itemised. Inspection and witness costs are shown, not buried in the unit price.

03

Order and release

Requirements written into the PO, progress reported by stage, and the complete document package reviewed before shipment.
